About Us

Well, what does one say about yourself? If anything at all, it has to be honest.

I am a native of this land by birth. Born in Port Elizabeth, South Africa,  in the Eastern Cape in the 60′s, I learnt much about life there. Life’s classroom was the family home, lifes’ joys were lifes’ experiences and lifes’ jewels were relationships.

I am married to a wonderful woman, who in so many ways and even without her knowing, witnesses to me each day through simply who she is. I have one child, a son, who is a naturally competitive youngster always seeking to please. He has a typical fifteen year old attitude to school work with many other “things” topping his priority list. School seems to get a surprise appearance in the top ten of this list now and then. A great son with huge potential.

We relocated, as a family, to Cape Town in 1999. This was the start of a love affair with the area. Very few parts of our country are as scenic and, within a short travelling distance, offers you so much.

I enjoy the outdoor life, sport and photography. I enjoy outdoor adventure with camping featuring as a must! I do not only enjoy watching sport but still participate somewhat. Whilst I no longer play rugby, I do enjoy golf and have recently, after many years, returned to the squash court.

Photography has always been a passion for me and have only recently started to take this hobby more seriously. There is just something about capturing a special moment in time.

Why the blog? Simply an opportunity to share my love of life with others whilst also, from time to time, sharing my opinions on other matters. It also creates opportunity for sharing some photos.
